In this tour I’ll compare and contrast mapping parties from several cities across the country. I’ll demonstrate what makes an effective mapping party including finding places to survey, finding places to edit, communication, prep (aerial mapping), day-of activity, equipment, training, follow-up and presentation of results. I’ll format this talk in the style of a How-to, in the hopes that other mappers will be inspired to easily host their own mapping parties.
