The community is what makes OpenStreetMap unique - it’s also what makes the map. OpenStreetMap needs communities that not only make the map but also actively maintain it which requires contextual information and local knowledge. Validation on OSM is spread across a number of different tools. This session aims at sharing workflows, tools, and approach used by the Mapbox data team to validate the map.
We’ll walkthrough neighborhood validation using OSMCha, how ‘compare functions’ are used to automatically flag changesets, and common tasks like inspecting a changeset in changeset map, and using other QA tools as part of your workflow.
